Right now Greyson is in a phase where everytime a song comes on the radio he asks "is this your favourite song mommy?". This morning it was Uptown Girl by Billy Joel, so I said "yes", he then corrected me and told me "no mommy, it's Alexis' favourite song".
Greyson is also in a huge singing phase right now. He sings all the songs we sing at programs (although you would never catch him singing them at program) as well as his favourite Christmas songs like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph. He likes to walk around the house with his drum stick and/or magnet stick exclaiming "Here comes the singer!!" and singing while swinging his conducting sticks.
His favourite thing to do right now in our car rides to and from all of our little trips and errands is to sing or get me to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star while inserting the names of all his favourite people in the "how I wonder what you are". For example "how I wonder how daddy is...". We go through the whole family and some friends. This week he has been constantly requesting to add the Caldfield family members again and again - Uncle C, Aunt Nic, Jonah and Eydie.
The other day at the grocery store Greyson noticed an employee stocking shelves who didn't have a very happy expression on his face. In a very loud voice Greyson says "mama, that man is cross! Like Thomas". If any has ever seen a Thomas The Tank Engine episode (the old ones) the engines are often "cross" and have really funny looking angry faces, and he was totally right - that guy did look cross like Thomas.
Oh and ever since the Caldfields stayed with us over the holidays Greyson now calls me "mama" because that is what Eydie calls Nicola. It's very cute!
