Halloween!

Here are a few pictures from Halloween this year.  Originally Greyson was going to be a walrus, however he grew out of it before Halloween came along (I bought it last year thinking it would fit this year).  Here he is in his second costume with cousin Josh as a skeleton...

Our experienced mouse hunters....

Sookie and Bill had a very busy night staking out a little mouse that came up from the basement.  We thought the little guy got away, but unfortunately found out the hard way that wasn't so thanks to the lovely odour that was coming from underneath the fridge the next day.

The 2nd sighting of the rare species: The Mayfield Yeti

Beware, and prepare for Spring 2012!

Josh's 1st Birthday!!!

Josh turns 1 tomorrow, but the party was on Sunday!  It was good times and gave us a preview of what Christmas is going to be like this year with the kids and gifts.  Although Josh was not all that interested in opening his gifts all the time (sometimes  the paper was enough) Greyson was ready and willing and enjoyed Josh's gifts just as much:)  Katie's youngest niece, Reese, and Greyson were often fighting for the ride on dump truck once that was unveiled - but they worked it out:)   Katie's oldest niece, Kennedy is a super huge help and Greyson really liked her.  You will also see Josh's amazing cake which was made by a friend of Jeff and Katie's.

My new Table!

We got to pick up Greysons table and chairs from Grandma P at Thanksgiving and he has been putting it to good use.  Although supervision is a must right now as he likes to climb ontop of the table from time to time, and doesn't always have the greatest judgement when attempting to get down:)

Farm visit

The other week Greyson and I, along with Auntie Lisa, went to visit Lisa's brother-in-law Farmer Andrew.  Greyson got a ride in Farmer Andrew's tractor - unfortunately my camera died immediately but I will be getting some pics from Lisa soon of the tractor ride.  After the tractor we visited the diary barn and saw the cows and the calfs.  Although Greyson loves seeing cows in books, he is a bit intimidated by cows in person especially when move their noses up and try to lick us:)  We watched from the middle of the aisle, and he tended to protest when I wanted to pet the cows.  However, the calfs were a different story - more his size:)  He attempted to get in the calf house at one point but quickly changed his mind and stayed safely at the door.  Again more pics to follow from this visit.

bathtime...

We took some pics of Greyson having a bath in the same bathtub I used when I was a baby - these pictures look very familiar to me which is kind of cool to see.  The only difference is I am not sure I had the same "camera face" that Greyson is modeling below...

Thanksgiving weekend

The weather was amazing with lots of lounging outside at both the Mayer Thanksgiving and the Birss Thanksgiving.

3rd Annual Friendsgiving

Our third Friendsgiving was a success - about 15 adults and 5 boys (all under 5).  Thankfully the weather cooperated in the afternoon and the boys were able to play outside to burn off some energy and Trev made some delicious bread in his outdoor oven.

Washing Dishes

Dress up

My mom recently brought out some old baby clothes of my brother and I that she is saving and we thought it would be fun to try some of them on Greyson - at first he didn't agree but then he warmed up to the idea...

Grandma visit

Grandma P came to hang out and help us with the garage sale we had in September.  Greyson also got to enjoy some new books that Grandma brought with her.
